Playing on Steam Deck

Install (Desktop Mode)

1. Hold the power button and choose Switch to Desktop.
2. Open Discover, search for Faugus Launcher and install it.
3. Download the Full client in the browser and extract it to ~/Games/HnH-Hero.
4. Add the game in Faugus as in Playing on Linux with Faugus and tick the Steam shortcut option.
5. Test it once in Desktop Mode: on the first run Faugus downloads Proton.

Playing (Game Mode)

Return to Game Mode. HnH Hero shows up in your Library under Non-Steam.

The game is made for mouse and keyboard. In the game's Steam controller settings, use the Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse template and keep the right trackpad as the mouse. To type in chat, open the on-screen keyboard with Steam + X.

Performance

Use 1280×800 fullscreen in the launcher settings. If battery life is short, cap the frame rate at 40 in the performance menu (... button).
